The Mauritius Oceanography Institute has organized from 8th to 20th June at the "Regional Meteorological Training and Research Centre (RMTRC) » - Vacoas (Mauritius) a regional training course in "Physical Oceanography and Ocean Remote Sensing".

This training session, which corresponds to the first regional activities, gathered 24 participants (coming from Madagascar, Mauritius, Comoros, Seychelles, Tanzania, Kenya, Mozambique) including all the regional AMESD "focal points".
The course, both theoretical and practical) were organized in three sessions with three trainers ans two lecturers :

• ocean remote sensing
• physical an regional oceanography
• Earth observation data processing (illustrate by examples and practical work).
